Mold inspection and testing

Our assessment team is also pleased to offer ERMI (Environmental Relative Moldiness Index) swab sampling. 

This testing is geared more towards clients with clinically diagnosed health issues related to fungal exposure, CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome) for example. This swab test is a DNA-based analysis of settled dust within your home. The settled dust is analyzed for thirty-six (36) of the most common fungal species associated with water-damaged buildings. Each sample is analyzed and compared to a database which provides the client with a “moldiness index” of their home in comparison to typical homes in the database. 

The DNA-based analysis is very accurate in speciating fungal spores present in the settled dust within the home. There is a very high correlation between elevated ERMI scores and fungal concerns within the home.
